Alyssa Fell is a recent graduate of Northeastern University where she majored in journalism and interaction design. She has strong interests in reporting, producing and breaking news.
Alyssa was a full-time intern with NBC News Specials during the summer of 2024. In this role, she supported fast-paced breaking news network-wide special reports and long-form News NOW specials during lead up to the 2024 presidential election. She was previously a full-time intern with NBC News Partnerships from January to August 2023. Here, she engaged in collaboration and coordination efforts between NBC News shows and platforms – TODAY Show, Nightly News, Meet the Press, Dateline and News NOW – and the network’s 200+ affiliates.
Throughout the spring 2022 semester, Alyssa was a full-time news intern at The Patriot Ledger, a Gannett/USA TODAY NETWORK daily newspaper covering the South Shore of Massachusetts. During her six-months at The Ledger, she wrote and contributed to over 100 articles. Alyssa previously held the roles of city editor, deputy city editor and deputy lifestyle editor at The Huntington News, Northeastern’s independent student-run newspaper.
She is honored to have received a Student Production Award by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Boston/New England Chapter, for her work on Sustainable Film.
Alyssa’s passion for journalism stems from her desire to make an impact on her community and learn something new everyday. She is eager and excited to further explore the field.
